I absolutely love the opportunity loving on brand new babies. Our studio is full of props, wraps, headbands, bonnets, a parent sitting area and more. Come, relax while we safely pose your baby. From props to table posing you can get a ton of variety in your newborn gallery. Here are a few commonly asked questions.
When should I book my newborn session?
Newborn photography is as popular as wedding photography these days and most newborn photographers, including myself, book months in advance. My schedule allows for a certain amount of newborn bookings per month to ensure I will have enough time for each session just in case you all deliver at once. (This has definitely happened before! I recommend reaching out towards the end of your second trimester. This is the perfect time to make your reservation and start planning for your session. I do allow for a couple of last minute newborn sessions in my schedule so feel free to reach out to check availability. Your second trimester is also a great time to book your maternity session! These sessions are an absolutely beautiful way to capture your growing belly and family.
When do we schedule? Newborn session are typically reserved based on your due date. Parents will contact me the day after the baby is born and we will formally schedule their session at that time. Sessions take place when baby is 5-12 days old during the daytime at my studio in Marion, Indiana. I LOVE documenting family photos and siblings with the new baby too. We have a lifestyle set up and backdrop’s that we can use during parent/sibling portions so you have variety.

How long are sessions?
This is a great question! Mini wrapped only newborn sessions are around 45-60 minutes. Full sessions take 2-3 hours. For full sessions, this gives time for nursing, cuddle, diaper changes and soothing to sleep. The newborn room is quiet, soothing and a great place for Mama to relax while feeding baby before and during our session.
After our Session
A few weeks after our session together you will get a proofing gallery. During this time, you will pick your favorite images, heirloom products such as albums, prints, wooden framed canvases and more. We are here to help with any design aspects of your products as well. We also do birth announcements too! This is also a great time to schedule milestone sessions such as 3, 6, 9 and 12 month milestone sessions.
