We will plan the milestone session around baby's schedule. We will either do it first thing in the morning after breakfast before their first nap, or after nap. I will have you feed them a meal before hand so they are not upset and bring snacks (for older babies/bottles for younger ones). At first we will play. Letting baby get used to me before I get the camera out. It helps to build trust and get baby used to me.
My sessions are baby focused. You will see a ton of my milestone sessions are mainly baby with a background or wooden toys. I have found over the years of loving on babies that we are able to focus more on baby/young kiddos this way. Let's focus on their new skills. If baby has found their hands or feet, we will focus on that. If baby is learning to sit up, that will definitely be documented. Milestone sessions are typically scheduled as new tasks have been learned. These include: laying on their tummy, sitting up, standing, and eventually walking. It helps to have all of these little moments captured.
